the rest had to be improvised.
less puff than hoped but still layer upon layer of pastry.
used julia's puff pastry recipe. sort of.
then cut rounds, topped them almond pastry cream, and a pear half. baked at 350 for about 35 minutes.
the pastry cream was a combination of 8 ounces of almond paste, 2 eggs, 1/4 c sugar, a bit of flour.
