and one thing leads to another...

fireweed has been popping up everywhere.
usually a good indication that blueberries will be ripening soon.
and that hungry bears will be out and about.

it's hard to escape the splendor of where i live. but i find myself craving lines. angles. structures.

if i had a recipe for balance, i would put it after the jump. instead there are more nature photos. an orchid. and a butterfly. if you're into that kind of thing...

home to celebrate mum's birthday. spend time with the family. close up the lodge for the winter. and capture a few last images of autumn.

spring has been pushing its way through the gray of winter's wake. bringing new color. new energy. new life daily.
a much needed rain fell this morning.
so during a break in the clouds, i put on my puddle boots and set out to capture that green which only spring can bring.

what i came back with was a robin making some home improvements,
the neighborhood cow (chained to a lamppost),
a brown bike with a red stripe,
and some blossoms.
which seem far less interesting than everything else.
